Accessibility
Many people who use SafePlaceSeniors are helping someone with limited vision, mobility, or memory, so we want the site to work for everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we’ve done
- Every control works from the keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap easily (at least 44 pixels).
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines.
- A “skip to main content” link, and links that say where they go.
- Filters announce how many products match as you change them.
- Animation is reduced if your device asks for reduced motion.
Limits
When you follow a link to Amazon or TaskRabbit, their sites are outside our control. We’re still testing and improving, and some pages may fall short.
Tell us what isn’t working
If anything on the site is hard to use, email hello@safeplaceseniors.com and tell us what you were trying to do. We’ll fix it or get you the information another way.
